2025 Year in Review
To Our Community of Supporters:
As we look back at the past year, 2025 was challenging in many ways, but so very rewarding as well. Life Savers Animal Rescue is proud to be a sanctuary for local stray dogs, abandoned dogs, owner surrendered dogs and dogs rescued from kill shelters in California and Texas, as well as dogs from an overcrowded shelter in Browning. As a foster based rescue with no physical facility, we rely on a network of amazing foster homes to house our dogs. Our operations are funded largely by donations from our supporters and fundraisers as well as a small number of grants. We have a volunteer board and no paid employees so one hundred percent of all monies go directly to the dogs in our care.
Challenges in 2025 were many, starting with the overwhelming number of dogs in need. The economy and housing challenges resulted in many families having to move and be unable to find housing that would allow their family dog. The cost of vet care and spay and neuter surgeries continues to deter people from neutering their animals or being able to care for them in the event of an emergency. Large shelters in California and Texas were overwhelmed with the number of animals and forced to euthanize perfectly healthy and adoptable dogs for lack of space.
Our small volunteer rescue did what we could to meet those challenges, and we are very proud of the successes in 2025……Here are some statistics!
*125 dogs taken into rescue
*28 puppies born in rescue
*105 adoptions
*10 facilitated home to home adoptions
*25 community dogs spayed and neutered through our certificate program
*45 feral cats spayed and neutered through our certificate program
*15 amazing foster homes
*8 medical rescue cases
*6 tired Board Members
Thank you all for your support for our little rescue. We could not do it without you! Here is to 2026 and moving towards a future where our services are no longer needed.
