~~Hello there, I'm Charlie. Boy has my life changed since coming to my foster mommy's house. I was scared of everything when I got here. I desperately wanted to be close to mommy, but it took me 5 days to feel safe enough to lay next to her on a blanket on the grass. I  still lay flat when I know she is going to pick me up, but I don't scamper away like I used to.  Please be patient and give me time to come to you; I promise I will, I just need a little extra encouragement. I absolutely adore cuddling next to you on the couch. I still get a bit stiff when I am held, but I do give mom kisses on the nose when she cuddles me in her arms. I rarely leave mom's side when we are outside, and if I do go on a little sniff fest, I always come running when she calls. I can wear a harness and drag a leash, but I get super scared if the leash is pulled-even gently. I know I will get used to it, I just need time. Mom said I still need a belly band in the house because I still like to mark my territory a bit. But, I don't soil my  kennel at night, which is a plus. I am quite shy, but so want to give you love, I just need you to be patient with me. Mom tells me she thinks I'm very special and precious and loves my big perky ears. They are cute, aren't they?
