Layla is a spayed female shepherd mix. She is about 1 year old and is a petite 38 pounds. She was taken in as a stray in Texas and transported to Montana to find a better life. She can be shy at first but warms up quickly and is a happy, loving and playful dog. She is great with other dogs but hasn’t been tested with cats. She is very smart and although she doesn’t have much training she is catching on quickly to basic obedience and manners. She is mostly potty trained and just needs guidance on what you want her to do. She loves food and treats which helps make her easy to train. The downside is that she can be food possessive and likes to look for goodies on countertops so she will need more guidance in those areas too. Her ideal family would have the time and patience to give her the training and boundaries she needs to build her confidence and reach her potential.
