About Zenith

  • Status: Available for Adoption (adoption info)
  • Species: Dog
  • Rescue ID: 25-0006

Zenith is a gentle and intelligent 1 year old little lady with a heart full of potential. After facing a rough start in life, including a stint at the shelter where she was sick and scared, Zenith is now thriving in her foster home. She's come a long way, and with a little patience and love, she’ll continue to blossom into the confident, loving companion we know she’s meant to be.

Zenith is a sweet, somewhat shy girl who tends to be a bit timid at first but warms up quickly once she feels safe. She’s incredibly smart and eager to please, making her an easy dog to train once she trusts you. Although she’s a little reserved around new people and situations, with time and patience, Zenith’s true, loving nature shines through. She’s playful, affectionate, and enjoys cuddling with her humans once she feels comfortable in her space. She is well on her way to being the perfect companion! She’s potty trained, crate trained, and doggy door trained—all essential skills that make her an easy houseguest. Zenith is also very smart, which means she loves to engage with toys, especially balls! However, she can be a little possessive of her toys, and she tends to enjoy playing with dogs that will let her “win.” She’s a perfect fit for a home with another playful, easy-going dog who can handle her competitive spirit in a fun, healthy way. She’s friendly and well-mannered around both large dogs and other small dogs, making her a great companion for dogs of all sizes. She tends to be submissive around people, which means she thrives in homes where she can receive gentle guidance to help boost her confidence. A calm, patient environment will help her feel more secure and continue building trust with her new family. She’d do well in a quieter home with another dog who enjoys a good game of fetch, as well as human companions who can offer her the love and consistency she needs to thrive.
