Meet Gunner – A Loving Chocolate Lab Looking for His Next Adventure

Gunner is a beautiful, purebred 4-year-old Chocolate Labrador with a heart as big as his playful spirit. Due to a cross-country move to Florida, we are heartbroken to have to rehome him and are searching for the perfect new family where he can thrive and be loved.

About Gunner:

  • Fully house-trained – he knows to do his business outside and has never had issues indoors.

  • ️ Well-behaved inside – no chewing on furniture, no accidents, just good doggy manners.

  • ⚽ Loves the outdoors – whether it's chasing a frisbee, playing soccer, or going on walks, Gunner is happiest when he’s active and outside.

  • Still learning leash manners – he’s eager to explore, but a little more training on the leash will go a long way.

  • Water dog at heart – lakes, rivers, oceans... if it splashes, he’s in!

  • Big napper with a playful side – Gunnerenjoys downtime but gets super excited when it’s time to play or go outside.

Feeding & Routine:

  • Eats one healthy, nutritious meal per day – we often mix in real, whole foods.

  • Loves treats – especially after a game of fetch or coming back inside after a potty break.

Personality & Ideal Home:
Gunner is incredibly friendly and loves meeting new people, but he thrives best in a calm, consistent environment. He gets anxious around loud noises, large crowds, or too much chaos. Fireworks and gunshots are a no-go for him. If he’s overwhelmed, he’ll let you know by retreating to a quiet spot. He also loves having a favorite spot on the couch or a chair that he can get comfortable and relax. He loves snuggling on the couch and will try to sit in your lap if you are in a recliner.

He’s best suited for:

  • An active single person or couple who enjoys the outdoors

  • A family with older children or teenagers (he’s a bit nervous around toddlers and small children)

  • A home with space to run and chill — a backyard would be ideal

Note: Gunner doesn’t do well with small dogs or young children jumping on or pestering him. He appreciates respectful interaction and clear boundaries.

Why We’re Rehoming:
This decision is incredibly difficult, but we’re moving across the country and can’t provide the environment Gunner needs. We're committed to finding him the right home, not just any home.
