Courtesy listing: We absolutely love our dog Perry. He is so sweet and full of love. Even though he weighs in at around 90 pounds, he would love to be a lap dog. He settles nicely for just putting his head in our laps though. He loves to be around our family and would be with us every second if he could. He loves to spend most of his time outdoors but we also let him inside. He loves pets, going for walks, hiking, going to the lake, getting brushed, long naps on a cool day, riding in the car, playing with other dogs, and snuggling. He walks nicely on a leash. He loves our one year old son, and lets him climb all over him. He is gentle enough with other smaller dogs, but likes to rough house with dogs his own size. Perry is neutered and up to date on all of his shots. He is very protective of his home and family. Perry defends our property from the likes of bears, mountain lions, and coyote packs. He isn't afraid to sound the bark alarm and keep danger away. Perry is an amazingly loving creature; however, true to Great Pyrenees nature he believes that all land that he can see belongs to him and should be defended as such. This causes Perry to jump our fence and get free of the yard and sometimes chase cars. We live near a busy road and we fear for his safety, thus we have to ask for help in finding a home for him where he isn't in such danger. We know there is a home for Perry where his Pyrenees nature can be appreciated for the beautiful species that he is. Right now, we have had to keep Perry tied up in our yard so that he can't escape. We feel horrible about this but have no other option but to keep him away from the road. This has hurt Perry emotionally though, and we pray that someone can give him a home where he won't have to be kept on a leash. He is a wonderfully wild and free spirit that shouldn't be kept this way and we know it. Please if you can help us give Perry the home and safety that he deserves, we and Perry would be so grateful. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. FMI please contact Kirsten at 406-360-7513; email: khawkaluk@stignatiusschools.org or khawkaluk@live.com .
