~~Courtesy listing:  Ellie is a beautiful 4-year old Newfoundland mix. She was surrendered by her family due to health reasons. She is quite possibly one of the sweetest dogs I have ever met! She loves to be right with her family. She is wonderful with children, cats, and other dogs. Ellie is smart and learns quickly. She knows the commands: sit, down, and off (most of the time). She comes when called. She has a soft mouth when accepting treats. She loves water and going on hikes. Ellie needs a somewhat active family to keep her happy. Ellie had a bit of a rough start in life so she is a bit shy when you first meet her, but when you earn her trust, look out! She needs a kind, loving home with a soft hand. Ellie is a very special dog who will only be placed with a very special family. Ellie is currently with a foster family.
